There is a dispute that some of business who produce machines processing food waste encourage illegality by selling liquefactive extinction machine which make buyers be punished by the law.

The same kind of business men say that some business men sell the equipment processing food waste with liquefactive extinction system.

the liquefactive extinction way is that food waste liquefied by microorganism is sent with tap water to the drainage.

Equipment drying and pulverizing food waste occupies the main part of the present market and the part which machines using liquefactive extinction system occupy is small in the market, but this type of dealing with food waste is illegal now in Korea.

According to article 17 of the law about dealing with dirty water, excrement and live stock waste, kitchen disposers crushing and discharging food waste with sewage are prohibited not to be imported or made under the law.

The live sewage section of Ministry of Environment sent ,to local governments,

an official notice that kitchen disposers are illegal, because machines using liquefactive extinction system discharge sewage to the drainage, even though those machines decomposes food by using microorganism, but sellers of machines processing food waste with liquefactive extinction system promote their sales activities more aggressively through home shopping and rental system.
